Universal Attachment Joints

Universal accordion connector is one of the most practical types of metal accordion connector. Are you familiar with metal accordion connector?!

What is metal accordion connector?

Metal accordion joints are also called metal stabilizers. The unique features of this connection such as good flexibility, excellent resistance to temperature and pressure make it an ideal choice for use in various industries.
Metal accordion fittings are a good replacement for the old method of loop tube. These functional joints consist of a rolled tube with an accordion jumper form. The aforementioned accordion jumper joints are mainly stainless steel which weld flanged and welded joints to the end. Other components in the structure of accordion joints due to their application can be referred to the harness shaft, hinges and guards. The purpose of installing these components is to control and restrict the movement of metal accordion joints.
Metal accordion fittings are used to absorb dimensional changes and vibrations caused by temperature, pressure, machine rotation and pipeline misalignment during installation.

Universal Accordion Connector

Universal Accordion Connection consists of two accordion jumpers connected by a central tube. This connection is capable of simultaneously repelling axial, lateral and angular movements. The harnesses used in the bracing structure of this connection are designed to fine-tune the movement between the accordion blues. In addition, the existing harnesses bear the weight of the middle pipe and prevent possible twisting at high pressures and the application of trust force.
Universal Accordion Connectors are capable of absorbing more motion than single accordion joints. The length of the middle tube and lateral movement of each jumper are the most important factors affecting the absorption of motions in this connection. The longer the central tube length, the more lateral movements are possible.
If the movement rate for a single connection is high, universal accordion can be used instead. This connection can absorb any combination of side, angle and axial movements well.

Advantages of Connection

  • It is capable of attracting movement in all directions.
  • Able to compensate for large axial and lateral movements.
  • Using a universal connection instead of a single connection along the pipeline and simplifying the design
