Double Accordion Connectors

Dual accordion joint is one of the most used types of metal stabilizers which is used in various industrial processes. How familiar are you with metal detectors?

What is a metal stabilizer?

In pipelines, fluid temperature changes cause thermal expansion in pipelines and their components, which subsequently cause longitudinal, radial, lateral and angular movements in pipelines. In such a situation, an expansion connection is required.
These joints are one of the most widely used dynamic equipment that is used in pipelines, centrifuges, compressors, turbines, etc. It is common. In addition to absorbing the movement caused by thermal expansion of pipelines, this part reduces the internal noise of fluctuating industrial devices, eliminates their vibration and increases their lifespan.
Accordion attachment, which can be referred to as a double accordion connector, is one of the most practical types of metal stabilizers. These equipments, which have high resistance to temperature and pressure, reduce angular, lateral and axial movements in pipelines.

Dual Accordion Connector; Connection with Many Applications

A double accordion is a type of connection that is common in cases where transverse or lateral displacements are significant. It is made up of two jumpers connected by an intermediate tube and a middle fixator. It is noteworthy that each jumper in the structure of this connection acts individually and in the form of a single single accordion connector.
Keep in mind that you should not confuse a double accordion connection with universal accordion connector. These two types of connectivity have significant differences and are impossible to use interchangeably.

Product Applications

The use of double accordion connector is common in various industries. The largest industries using this dynamic equipment are:

  • Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
  • Various power plants including steam power plants, combined cycles, hydroelectric and nuclear power
  • Oil Refinery and Gas Refinery
  • Petrochemical Industry
  • Steel Industry
  • Cement Industry
  • Wood industry
